Collages, objects, photographs, songtext, Motorenhalle Dresden, 2014
„(…) Figurations of fictional and transformed worlds can also be found in Judith Karcheter’s installation Walzer für Milan (2014): Collages, photographs, objects and a song lyric „report“ in a poetic-associative gesture on a trip to Budapest, which is presented using fragments of memories, Dadaist-like „snippets“, in an assemblage composed across corners. Sensations transposed by colors and forms are condensed in the installation into a retrospective and the (song) text, which takes up the waltz beat, only gives subtle hints of real and fictitious experiences to those who know how to read between the lines, which can be found in the abstract compositions of the individual works and as an implied subject in the photographs (…).“
