Casa d’Alem

In the summer of 2022, I visited a typical Portuguese country estate from the 1920s by chance. The elongated nested house with overgrown gardens radiated a special magic and I tried to capture the impressions visually in a short time. Photos of fabric arrangements and objects such as indoor and outdoor tile tableaux became an important source of memories for me. Back in Berlin, I created designs for fabric and paper works in my studio. At the same time, I experimented with colored painting grounds on paper. I created a group of new collages on the colored papers.
